We’re so glad you’ll be joining us for the CLO Symposium. For complete details on the terms that apply to registration and other important disclaimers, please read through the following:
Registration Policy
Registration for Chief Learning Officer events is restricted to internal learning & development practitioners and a limited number of sponsors with clearly defined roles. This policy is in place to assure that every live CLO event offers a respectful, relaxed environment where active professionals can network, learn from one another and have frank discussions about what is happening in their industry, organizations and careers. All registrations are subject to review. If it is determined that the registrant does not qualify, the registration will be cancelled and a refund issued to the card supplied.
Simple litmus test:
My primary responsibility is for the development of my company’s internal workforce = QUALIFIED
I work primarily with organizations other than my own to support their workforce development = NOT QUALIFIED
All vendors, consultants and suppliers interested in participating should should visit our sponsorship page to request more information.
You may review the press release we issued on this policy by clicking here.
Registration Rates
Once you complete the purchase of your registration, the purchase and rate is considered final and won’t be adjusted later. It will be your responsibility to confirm that the price displayed at checkout is the price that you’re expecting to pay before you complete your purchase.
We may offer a promotional, coupon, discount, or similar code (let’s just call them “promotional codes”), for instance as part of a limited time sale. These codes are tied to a specific registration type and their value cannot be applied towards other ticket options. Promotional codes cannot be applied retroactively to a previously completed purchase.
Cancellation Policy
Things happen. We understand. Here’s how cancellations work:
If you cancel more than 30-days prior to the start of the event, you’ll get a full refund of the amount paid.
If you cancel less than 30 days, but more than 7 days prior to the start of the event, you’ll receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $250 Cancellation Fee. This offsets the processing fees we incur when you cancel and helps us avoid raising registration prices.
Within 7-days of the start of the event, you cannot cancel your registration and we will not provide a refund of the registration fees paid (regardless of whether or not you attend). You may however transfer your registration to a colleague at anytime, at no charge.
To cancel your registration (and get your refund, if applicable), please follow the “Request a Refund” link in your confirmation email or submit your request on our contact form.
If you’re entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid for the registration(s) you cancel and will be refunded to your original payment method – we don’t issue checks for refunds.
These cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason that you cancel (even if you unfortunately need to cancel for personal reasons, weather conditions or other work related issues that are out of your control.)
Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.
Registration Transfer
If you can’t attend, but know someone who really wants to be at the CLO Symposium, you can transfer your registration to them for free. To initiate a transfer, simply click on the “Edit Registration Details” link in your confirmation email or submit your request on our contact form. If you do wish to transfer a registration then you must verify that you either paid for the original registration or that the registration was originally in your name.
If you have used a promotional code to register, your ticket is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, rebate, credit or make good if you are no longer able to attend.
Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for transferring your own hotel and travel reservations.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us, so please read our full privacy policy here, which is incorporated to these terms by reference.
We might share your registration data with other parties to provide event information, help improve your experience at CLO Symposium or future events. For example, if we offer a mobile app, we might make this data available to the mobile app provider so it’s accessible through the app. We might also share your registration data with providers related to CLO Symposium, like hotels, registration service providers and housing vendors. By providing your registration data to us, you grant us permission to do these things.
You may have the option of sharing your information (such as name, company, and job title) with other attendees through our mobile app or other online communities. You will have control over which information is shared and you can choose to opt out if you prefer.
Behavior & Content
We want everyone to enjoy CLO Symposium. So, we expect our attendees to act responsibly. If we (in our sole discretion) determine that you are behaving in a manner that is—or could be—disruptive to the event or other attendees, or violates our Code of Conduct or is in violation of these terms, then we can refuse to admit you to, or expel you from, the event. If we do, you aren’t entitled to a refund of fees paid.
If you notify us of an individual who you believe is acting in a manner which violates our Code of Conduct or these terms, we will take your concern seriously but any action that we may or may not take will be at our sole discretion.
You’re invited—and indeed, encouraged—to meet and visit with all of the great companies who will be joining us as official sponsors at CLO Symposium. But keep in mind that “suitcasing” or “outboarding” is strictly prohibited at CLO Symposium.
The views or opinions expressed by any event attendee, speaker or sponsor are not necessarily our views or opinions. All event attendees, speakers and sponsors are responsible for their own content (including presentations, marketing collateral, advertising and online Web content). You are not allowed to use any content that infringes another’s intellectual property rights, is harassing, misleading, or unlawful.
We don’t want confusion about our event, so you agree that you won’t host any competing events during CLO Symposium and you won’t use the CLO Symposium name or the names of our sponsors (which includes Chief Learning Officer and Human Capital Media), without our written permission first.
Name Badges
You’ll need to wear your registration badge at all times when you’re at CLO Symposium.
To pick up your registration badge, all registration fees must be paid in full and you’ll need to show a government issued form of photo ID, like a driver’s license or passport. The name on your photo identification must match the name on your registration badge. If you’ve had a recent change in your name (like if you got married, for example) and your registration may not match your photo ID, please click on “Edit Registration Details” in your confirmation email or submit your request on our contact form so we can make a note in your registration.
Individuals must pick up their own registration badge. This means that you can’t have a coworker or friend pick up your registration badge for you (and you can’t pick up theirs for them.)
Registration badges may use RFID technology. You may be required to scan your registration badge to enter certain sessions. Among other things, this helps us to track and provide information on capacity, as well as make sure folks have the right access to attend a session. There may be a fee to replace a lost badge.
Photo & Video Release
Image and sound recordings of all aspects of this event will be made. These recordings may be published on the event websites, magazine websites, virtual event platforms, as well as marketing and advertising pieces in either print or online format. By registering for this event you affirm that you have read this information regarding image and sound recordings and agree to the capture and use of such recordings as event producers see fit.
Agenda Changes
We might make updates to the agenda from time-to-time, which might include a change in speakers or cancellation of certain sessions. We can’t promise the attendance of any speaker and won’t refund fees paid based on changes to the agenda. We also can’t guarantee admission to any certain session, since all sessions are subject to capacity limits and availability.
These Terms
Please be aware that we may update and change any part or all of these Registration Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you first. If we update or change these Registration Terms and Conditions, the updated Registration Terms and Conditions will be posted here (or other websites we designate.) The updated terms will become effective and binding on the next business day after they are posted. When we change these terms, the “Last Modified” date above will be updated to reflect the date of the most recent version. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
If you don’t agree to these terms, then you shouldn’t register for CLO Symposium.
