About
Dr. Lauren D’Innocenzo is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Provost Solutions Fellow at Drexel LeBow College of Business. Her research focuses on understanding team effectiveness by exploring compositional elements, contextual influences, as well as emergent team dynamics. Practically speaking, her emphasis is on how to leverage the knowledge, skills, and abilities of team members and encourage effective team processes through leadership, productive interactions, and supportive environments. Using an applied research approach, she has worked with a number of Fortune 500 and Global Fortune 500 organizations, governmental agencies, and a consortia of hospitals in a variety of capacities including executive education programs, management training, interventions, executive reporting, consulting, and data-driven research. Dr. D’Innocenzo was recently named to 2019 Poets & Quants Best 40 Under 40 Business Professors.
Dr. D’Innocenzo’s most recent work includes leadership training for senior and junior center directors at the Center for Disease Control, working with operating room staff and hospital executives at a southern community hospital to foster high-performing surgical teams, and partnering with Philadelphia City Council to encourage effective team processes and motivation through communication strategies and feedback systems. She is also a highly sought-after speaker on collaboration and leadership and has delivered talks and workshops for groups such as the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Philadelphia Department of Homelessness, Washington-Mandela Fellows, and DuPont.
